    Description

    Job Summary


    The Sharp calculator specialist is required to promote and work with the Sharp scientific calculator product range, as well as know and advise on the other models within the Sharp calculator range.

    Duties include visiting schools, and education departments to perform training with the teachers, students and district officials at these various institutions, as well as going to various stationery shows and other activities where the calculators can be promoted.

    The specialist should also follow up with those teachers they've come into contact with and maintain good relationships with all those involved in the mathematics field.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Creating and presenting workshops on the Sharp scientific calculator range
    • Liaising with various department officials with regards to workshops and developments in the curriculum
    • Promoting the Sharp calculator range at various events around South Africa.
    • Contacting schools and teachers for appointments
    • Maintaining relationships and contact with teachers and department officials.
    • Advising fellow SMD staff what calculators are best to use, and should be promoted in store.
    • Through promotions, achieving an increase in sales.
    • Know how to access and use the SMD portal to place orders for workshops and sponsorships.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • A teaching or maths degree.
    • Experience as a maths teacher.
    • Working knowledge of outlook, Microsoft, Power Point and Excel.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Able to work independently and think critically.
    • Must have a drivers license.
