B-bbee Compliance Specialist - Johannesburg, South Africa - Express Pros Fourways

JOB PURPOSE:
Manage the organization's compliance with relevant local legislation and regulations relating to Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) and its Codes of Good Practice, supporting the organisation's transformation efforts.
This role will work closely with management to develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve the company's B-BBEE objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with local B-BBEE legislation and related Employment Equity and Skills
- Development legislation and requirements_
- Monitor and stay abreast of B-BBEE and related legislation amendments and updates and ensure the organisation is aware of any changes and potential impacts on the compliance or scorecard
- Develop and implement appropriate strategies and processes to ensure B-BBEE compliance and the achievement of the targeted B-BBEE score and improvements for each reporting year across all elements of the Generic scorecard
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, across the organisation to ensure successful delivery of required targets such as Finance,Procurement, Marketing and Sales
- Provide thought leadership and best practice relating to B-BBEE
- Develop, implement, and coordinate various B-BBEE initiatives in all areas of BEE including
- Management Control, Employment Equity, Skills Development, Preferential Procurement, ESD andSocioEconomic Development
Skills Development
- Identify, implement, and manage Skills Development initiatives such as Learnerships,
- Manage external Bursary programme
Preferential Procurement
- Maintain supplier B-BBEE information and manage this process
- Liaise with local Procurement team to report on current B-BBEE status of suppliers and identify gaps for implementation of future initiatives to achieve maximum scorecard points
- Update and align the B-BBEE procurement guidelines to provide guidance on how suppliers should be evaluated and improved
- Liaise and collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with B-BBEE requirements
Enterprise and Supplier Development
- Develop and implement annual ESD initiatives aligned to B-BBEE scorecard targets and qualify eligible beneficiaries
Socio-Economic Development
- Develop and implement annual SED initiatives aligned to B-BBEE scorecard targets and qualify eligible beneficiaries
- Consistently capture and maintain accurate reporting of B-BBEE data using the B-BBEE Calculator (currently Mantis Networks)
- Provide quarterly B-BBEE forecasts and reports to the Executive Management Team and manage B-BBEE scorecard scenarios required for annual planning and guidance
- Review and analyse the B-BBEE forecast data and make recommendations or initiate corrective action.
- Coordinate and deliver on the annual B-BBEE verification audit with the appointed verification agency to ensure successful audits including the submission of data for the audit
- Gather and manage all relevant B-BBEE supporting documentation required for audit purposes
- Educate and advise B-BBEE stakeholders in the organisation on the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice providing best practice relating to B-BBEE
KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

Education and Qualification Requirements_
- Grade 1
- HR/Business Management/Law or related Commercial diploma/degree
- B-BBEE Certification/MDP advantageous
Skills/Requirements_
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a B-BBEE Compliance Specialist or similar role
- Experience in conducting B-BBEE verification or audits
- Strong Project Management skills and experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- Strong analytical skills with problemsolving ability
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good time management and deadlinedriven
- Excellent administrative skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in dealing with education institutions, NGO's and other relevant government bodies including Seta
- Passion for education, youth development and social impact
