Role Overview:

As a Life Valuations Actuary, you will be an essential part of the actuarial team, responsible for assessing and analyzing life insurance policies' financial implications.

Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and insightful valuations, risk assessments, and financial reporting. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing actuarial insights and contributing to key strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting indepth analysis of life insurance products and portfolios, including profit testing, embedded value calculations, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and enhance actuarial models and methodologies.
Monitoring and assessing the financial performance and risk profiles of life insurance products.
Contributing to the development of actuarial assumptions and parameters.
Participating in the production of financial reports and presentations to senior management and regulatory authorities.
Staying uptodate with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Qualified or nearqualified Actuary, with relevant professional certifications (e.g., FIA, FFA, ASA, or equivalent).
5+ years of experience in life insurance valuations, embedded value calculations, or related actuarial functions.
Proficiency in actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, MoSes) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
