Purpose of this role:

The purpose of this role is to facilitate payroll administration and input on Sage 300. Important ouput among others include weekly and monthly payroll. This role works closely with the Human Resource and finance teams.

The role may change over time, depending on incumbent performance, your needs and the business's needs.


Reporting Line:

The role is based at our client's Enterprise Risk and Innovation division at our head office in Sandton, Johannesburg, and you'll report to our

Team Leader:
Business Services, who is accountable for our payroll and some Business Service functions.


Required Qualifications:


  • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
  • Sage 300 experience essential (at least 3 years with current work output)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and or a payroll qualification beneficial

Responsibilities (include but is not limited to):

  • Compiling and processing salary and commission on the payroll system weekly and or monthly
  • Maintaining payroll information on various excel sheets
  • Calculating and process travel allowances for commission earners
  • Updating banking details
  • Sharing monthly incentive report with financial manager and input incentive scores as per ninja stats
  • Reviewing, action and reply on payroll related queries and requests from employees
  • Running Sage 300 reports for monthend processes
  • Compiling annual statutory submissions i.e., COIDA and EMP50
  • Compiling maternity packs
  • Compiling UIF packs for terminations
  • Compiling and process leave pay

Specialist Team Leader functions (for information only):

  • Calculating and process Severance packages o Process Group risk deductions for monthly and weekly employees
  • Compiling Group risk payment pack
  • Processing third party RA deductions on the payroll system
  • Submiting third party RA investment for payment and submit online
  • Maintaining GL structures and GL groups on the payroll system
  • Sharing monthly payroll deadline reminders
  • Compiling and submit monthly EMP 201 to SARS
  • Reviewing annual statutory submissions i.e., COIDA and EMP50
  • Reviewing company credit card spend and verify support for payroll deduction and taxation
  • Control account recon

Required experience:


  • Computer literate and have working experience with MS Office
  • Excel must be at an intermediate level
  • Ability to work under pressure highperformance environment and may sometimes require overtime
  • Numeracy skills
  • Accurate typing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to keep confidential information to yourself
  • Must be organised and have the right administrative skills
  • Must be Quality driven
  • Ability to pay attention to detail

Salary:
R20, R26,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
