    Description

    Do you have 2-3 years' experience in a Payroll Accounting environment, with strong reconciliation and administration skills? Our client, an international oil and gas company, is seeking a Payroll Accounts Assistant to take on responsibility for the accuracy completeness and validity of accounting for payroll transactions and timely payroll related payments to third party vendors and employees.

    Description
    Review, administer and reconciliation of payroll 3rd party payments timeously
    Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the payroll transactions. Ensure the required PU Buyer approval of payments comply with the company's requirements
    Responsible for the accounting accuracy and completeness of journals and batch processing into the GL
    Reconciliation of the payroll accounts (including the payroll bank account), to comply with Balance Sheet Integrity standard i.e. reconciliation, validation and verification. Responsible for timely resolution of reconciliation items
    Assist HR/Tax departments in the reconciliation of IRP5 & IT3a at tax year
    Investigate and assist in the resolving of payroll queries/disputes
    Assisting with the Share Scheme Administration as required
    Provide cover and assistance as required for all other roles in the Payroll accounting area. Assist with Ad-hoc requests from the Lead and HR and Tax departments

    Requirements
    Grade 12 with a Tertiary Qualification in Accounting or business or finance
    2-3 years' experience in a Payroll Accounting environment, with strong reconciliation and administration skills; Ability to work well within a team environment; Experience in Advanced Excel and MS Word essential
    Strong reconciliation; mathematical, analytic and administration skills; Good interpersonal skills
