We are launching new partnerships here at amplify5, and to ensure we set this up for success we are looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant.
The primary responsibilities for the role are to ensure accuracy and completeness of the reporting requirements, whilst supporting the Group Management Accountant in the timely close of the month end process, to underpin the business in being able to continually operate in what is a very dynamic and fast paced industry.
What you will be doing:
- Help prepare Group Management accounts at month end, ensuring close is delivered in a timely manner
- Support the Group Management Accountant and Group Financial Controller in delivering a clean year end audit (Financial and ATOL) for both the group and subsidiaries
- Overheads analysis, ensuring costs are captured, variances to budget understood, and reports distributed to budget holders for review
- Various balance sheet reconciliations to be completed on a monthly basis across all group companies, including bank reconciliations
- Deliver both scheduled reporting where required for various month end packs, and adhoc reporting and analysis as and when required by the business
- Ensure adherence to month end timetable
- Negotiable Requirements**:
- Must reside in Cape Town
- Must have a working smartphone device to complete 2 step verification when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Matric (Completed)
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Advantageous.
Experience:
years Proven working experience as an Assistant Manager Accountant.
- 12 Months international BPO experience.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Handson experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficient in Excel/ MS Office.
- Experience of NetSuite/Sage 200 and other accounting software
- Prior experience in a customerfacing role or client management is
advantageous. - Good analytical and excel skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Have a demonstrable energy, flexibility, proactivity and a "can do" attitude.
- Proven ability of working to a high standard while multitasking
- Working accurately to deadlines
Competencies:
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
