    Description
    DUR002066LB – Mechanical Sales Engineer – Durban

    Purpose of the job:
    To grow and maintain customer base of the client within the Oil and gas, power, coal, ports & harbours, steel and metals, cement and general industry of mining and minerals.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
    2. Bachelor of Engineering: Mechanical or technical qualification is essential.
    3. Minimum 5 years' relevant Sales experience post qualification is essential.
    4. 10 years relevant Sales experience if there is no tertiary qualification.

    Comfortable to travel extensively within South Africa.

    Technical Competencies and responsibilities
    1. Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    2. Service driven, innovative, reliable and assertive.
    3. Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
    4. Able to work within a team environment.
    5. Strategic business development of sales opportunities within South Africa in the following industries:
    6. Responsible for achieving budget as well as defined KPI targets.
