    Description

    Excellent opportunity for a tax professional to join a medium size audit firm in the Stellenbosch. The candidate must have the ability to attend to all tax compliance and administration matters in the firm.

    The candidate should have strong tax experience with a few years' experience in a similar role and must have a financial or taxation qualification with a tax practitioner designation an added benefit, though not a requirement.

    This firm of Chartered Accountants (SA) and Registered Auditors offer a variety of services with the aim of continuously looking for cost-effective, value-added solutions to our clients' business needs.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain tax portfolio in accordance with the relevant acts and legislation.
    • Assist with research on tax opinions.
    • Tax calculations of individuals, trusts, companies.
    • Provisional tax calculations and estimates.
    • Preparation and submission of tax returns.
    • Registering entities and individuals with SARS.
    • Advising clients in tax queries.
    • Handling of tax disputes and appeals.
    • Assisting with deceased estates and submissions to the Master of the High Court.
    • Build and maintain client relationships.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Degree, diploma or certificate in finance, accounting or taxation.
    • Other relevant tax qualifications.
    • Minimum 2+ years' experience in similar role.
    • Computer literate – proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
    • Familiar with Caseware, Profsoft, E-filing, other tax related software.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Remuneration:

    • R240,000 to R300,000 pa, depending on experience.
