Herotel is looking for a highly skilled
Treasury Manager.


Reporting to the Group Financial Manager you will be responsible for managing the company's financial resources, including cash, loans and investments to ensure the company has adequate liquidity.


The Treasury Manager oversees all treasury operations, including the administration of all bank accounts, cash management activities, risk management practices and provides input in short-term investment and debt management activities.


_Responsibilities will include the following but not be limited to:_

Treasury Operations:


  • Cash flow planning and management including cash flow forecasts and monitoring actual vs. forecast to ensure the company has sufficient liquidity, central sweeping of excess cash balances and allocation of capital.
  • Central reconciliation and reviewing of the performance of treasury loans advanced to / received from business units.
  • Maximise shortterm returns on cash balances held at the center to manage financial risks associated with interest rate changes.
  • Facilitate and monitor functional approval processes related to payment requests in line with treasury policies.
  • Strengthening and managing relationships with key Transactional Bank and thirdparty payment provider representatives and negotiating fees and terms.
  • Implementation of automation initiatives that will improve the efficiency of the treasury function.
  • Implementation and monitoring of internal controls safeguarding the company's financial resources.
  • Reporting and analysis of treasury related activities, including cash flow forecasts, liquidity, and treasury loan performance reports.
  • Working in conjunction with the Head of Corporate Finance to manage and report on company debt covenants.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with banking laws and regulations and cash management policies.

Treasury Administration:


  • System administration of group bank accounts, including:
  • Setup and integration of bank accounts: mandate changes, profile linking, user setup and old account closures.
  • Daily transactional administration: users, recipients, password control, trusted profile management, user profile management.
  • Forex transactions.
  • Electronic filing of underlying payment supporting documents.
  • Manage all issued credit cards in accordance with credit card policies.

Work Experience and Skills Required for this position:

  • 3+ years' experience in treasury / finance management
  • Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
  • Good understanding of financial markets and financial instruments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and manage

Minimum Qualification requirement:


  • BCom (Hons) in Accounting
