    Description

    Our client is looking for a Rates & Pricing Administrator to assist in analysing customer requirements, accurately estimating costs for freight and forwarding services, and to collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible in liaising with Internal Stakeholders, including commercial team
    • Analyse customer inquiries and requirements
    • Evaluate shipment details
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
    • Utilise industry knowledge and market trends
    • Prepare and present detailed cost estimates
    • Monitor and update pricing databases and systems
    • Collaborate with sales and operations teams
    • Stay updated with industry regulations, market trends, and technological advancements

    Key skills:

    • Ability to work irregular hours
    • Working knowledge of Google workspace and Shipshape
    • To have the ability to read and understand shipping freight and other charges
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
    • Strong organisational and communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Fast learner in internal and external computer systems and processes
    • Ability to work with multiple key stakeholders both internal and external

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma in Shipping, Clearing and Freight Forwarding, Distribution and Logistics Business Management or related field
    • A minimum of 3-years experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics with good knowledge of general/dry cargo using various shipping methods
