I strongly submit that my experience acquired over my last three roles as Buyer, Workshop Controller & Senior Contracts Administrator where I demonstrated proficiency in all core Operations Management procurement administration functions; including contract management, contract utilization, contract spend, interpreting terms & conditions, warranties etc. Working with third parties to ensure that everyone understands their roles and making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards
Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams and the client’s own representatives, overseeing invoicing at the end of a project. Procure to pay process using approved commercial framework. Keeping abreast with competitive market prices, effective management of end-user, service provider relationship, ensuring on time and accurate service delivery, strong negotiation skills, report writing, in-depth knowledge of tender adjudication processes from compiling tender document stage to Management of Contract after it has been awarded. Familiar with the MRP system which ensures effective management of stock levels
In my last role as Workshop Controller at Toyota Forklift I gave Administrative support to the Workshop Manager where we managed a Team of 23 Technicians. My duties included, but not limited to; implement manpower structures, fully utilizing department resources, effective booking of the Technicians by generating job cards through mobile tech for planned Maintenance & timeous attendance to breakdowns. Ensured they meet all set operational targets. Invoice the job cards through Kerridge timeously in order to make revenue. Manage disputes & grievances in accordance to the procedures as set out by the Company. Ensured adherence to all SHEQ requirements, conducted weekly toolbox talks. Managed time & attendance, identified training needs and book according to SITA regulations, prepared Monthly Reports, responsible for ordering of stationery & consumables.
Prior to that I had worked with the Chief Operations & Chief Planning Manager at Transnet Port Terminals in Port Elizabeth, where I had started out as a junior administrator, then promoted to Senior Administrator & PA within Operations.
I am fully conversant with Operations Management as part of my function was to manage the MDT where all the Operations performance was discussed in great detail including previous day performance, areas of improvement, plan for the coming shift in order to eliminate delays.
I believe I am the best suited candidate for this role as I not only bring a positive attitude but a wealth of experience in Supply Chain/Procurement, Operations, SHEQ & Administration. I am great at keeping the Team motivated and performing optimally, while I can communicate at Senior Management level to keep them informed about the progress on the ground
