    Toolroom and Maintenance Manager - Maitland, Cape Town - Rneg

    Are you a skilled Fitter and turner, Electrician, or Toolmaker with a passion for precision mechanical manufacturing? Precision Mechanical Manufacturing Company is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Toolroom and Maintenance Manager to join our team. If you have a proven track record in managing teams, budgets, and projects, we want to hear from you

    Key Requirements:

    • Trade Expertise: Fitter & Turner / Electrician / Toolmaker
    • Certification Advantageous: Tool Jig and Die
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role, including 5 years in management
    • Financial Acumen: Sound knowledge of financial management and budgeting
    • Project Management: Proven short-term project implementation skills
    • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in press tools, jigs, fixtures, CNC machine setting, programming, and tool changes
    • Industry Exposure: Background in high-volume manufacturing environments
    • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP Preventative maintenance modules
    • Bonus: ISO 45001 experience

    Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

    • Supervise and lead all toolroom and maintenance processes and activities.
    • Track expenses and oversee budgets for toolroom and maintenance areas.
    • Maintain and ensure working standards for all tooling and machinery.
    • Implement department procedures and conduct regular facility inspections.
    • Plan, manage, and evaluate repair and installation activities.
    • Document progress and maintenance logs; oversee equipment stock.
    • Drive workplace safety through education and compliance programs.
    • Manage asset performance evaluation and identify team member knowledge gaps for targeted training.
    • Oversee purchasing requirements and maintain raw material stock levels.
    • Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and increase throughput.
