About Melissa Smythe:
I come with a vast amount of experience in increasingly responsible roles within the industry, having worked extensively in the fields of landside logistics, equipment planning and trade management. I have also in my personal capacity undertaken further studies in Procurement and Supply Chain Management through the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply and acquired my Diploma in Procurement & Supply.
My background has also afforded me many intangible qualifications one can’t learn from a book. Qualities such as resourcefulness, insight, adaptability, objectivity, maturity, and common sense are just a few. Integrity, accountability, business savvy and a strong honest work ethic makes me a cut above the rest.
I have strong analytical skills that allows me to identify patterns, trends that could impact or benefit not only my deliverables but also action opportunities with urgency. I have a high level of problem-solving skills, which supports my ability to make informed decisions and I am comfortable with decision-making as they include all aspects of what a possible outcome could be.
