Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our client's facilities.

You will be responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance personnel and ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out effectively and in a timely manner.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and custodial staff.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and equipment servicing.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and provide timely solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, monitor expenses, and identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Source and manage vendors, contractors, and suppliers for specialized maintenance services and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment maintenance history, and inventory.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, promoting skill development and team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance work that minimizes disruption to operations.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Food Manufacturing Experience: Proven experience in maintenance management within the food manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of meat, fish, poultry, bakery, and dairy production processes.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years in facility maintenance.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, Certified Facility Manager) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment.
  • Experience with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
