Description

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our client's facilities.

You will be responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance personnel and ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out effectively and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and custodial staff.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and equipment servicing.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and provide timely solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment.
Manage the maintenance budget, monitor expenses, and identify costsaving opportunities.
Source and manage vendors, contractors, and suppliers for specialized maintenance services and supplies.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment maintenance history, and inventory.
Train and mentor maintenance staff, promoting skill development and team collaboration.
Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance work that minimizes disruption to operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field (preferred).
Food Manufacturing Experience: Proven experience in maintenance management within the food manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of meat, fish, poultry, bakery, and dairy production processes.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years in facility maintenance.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, Certified Facility Manager) preferred.
Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment.
Experience with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS) is a plus.
Demonstrated experience in budget management and cost control.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Leadership and team management experience.
Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
