Assistant Maintenance Manager - 12 Apostles Hotel and Spa

Job Purpose:


To support the Maintenance Manager in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the Hotel, with a specific focus on air-conditioning and refrigeration maintenance; as well as in the implementation of a comprehensive proactive preventative maintenance program; and the execution of the annual rooms-care program.

Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:


  • NQF Level 5 certificate as an electrical and/or mechanical technician or equivalent trade test certificate
  • 8 year's year's experience in a general maintenance / building facilities management / construction project management position of which at least 3 year's experience in a 4/5* Hotel environment in a maintenance departmental management capacity
  • Proven understanding of Health and Safety standards as well as Environmental Impact Controls. Any relevant qualifications and or experience in this regard will be an advantage.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of a Property Management System
  • Excellent command of the English language with solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekend, public holidays, night shifts
  • Presentable and wellmannered
  • Proven experience with stock taking and stock control processes
  • Driver licence code 10 (PDP)

Experience:


  • General maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
  • Project management software: 3 years (preferred)
  • Building facilities: 3 years (preferred)

Language:


  • English (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Camps Bay, Western Cape (required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Camps Bay,

Western Cape:
Relocate before starting work (required)
