    Description

    Hire Resolve is currently representing a leading logistics company based in Gauteng, specializing in the agriculture industry. They are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to optimize the logistics network.
    • Communicate loading and delivery dates proactively to all the stakeholders in the supply chain.
    • Stay abreast of import regulations and compliance requirements for fertilizers.
    • Ensure all import documentation, licenses, and permits are in order, and that imports meet regulatory standards.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with warehousing, transport, and other logistics partners to secure favorable terms and rates.
    • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues to ensure the highest level of service.
    • Give the necessary instructions to the warehouse and monitor actions regarding loading stock, receiving stock, bagging, screening, and stacking of fertilizer products.
    • Oversee inventory levels at warehouses and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
    • Implement efficient warehousing practices to optimize space and reduce storage costs.
    • Keep track of stock movement at each warehouse and report data to the team on a weekly basis.
    • Track and monitor stock movement in and out of a warehouse on a daily basis.
    • Develop and manage the logistics budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service levels.
    • Analyze transportation costs, warehouse expenses, and other logistics-related expenditures to ensure optimal financial performance.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as delays, disruptions, or quality issues.
    • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
    • Implement and optimize digital solutions to streamline logistics processes

    Requirements

    • Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field would be advantageous.
    • Proven experience in logistics environment (3 years).
    • Home Language must be Afrikaans.
    • Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, shipping and import procedures.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    • Very strong administrative skills.
    • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities
