    Description

    Our client, a leading construction company in Johannesburg, is seeking a Construction Manager with expertise in Road Rehabilitation & Surfacing projects.

    The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the progress of road rehabilitation and surfacing projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will work closely with the project team to ensure quality standards are met, deadlines are achieved, and budgets are maintained.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and oversee road rehabilitation and surfacing projects from start to finish
    • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
    • Coordinate resources, equipment, and materials needed for the projects
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
    • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays
    • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors
    • Prepare reports and documentation for project updates and analysis

    Requirements

    • BSc / BEng / BTech / ND Civil Engineering required
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Construction Manager, specifically with road rehabilitation and surfacing projects
    • Strong knowledge of road construction techniques, materials, and equipment
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Effective communication and leadership skills
    • Proficient in project management software and MS Office
    • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred
