Description

Join our esteemed client in the Steel Industry as the JDS-Draughting Manager and lead our dynamic draughting team in Alrode.

With a comprehensive CTC of R375K PA, your role involves efficiently producing 2D CAD drawings, managing work allocation, and ensuring precise project execution in line with client specifications.

Key responsibilities include overseeing team performance, creating effective training resources, and contributing to high-quality standards in all draughting activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Produce precise CAD drawings and perform pre-inspections.
Train draughtspeople to client drawing standards.
Assume basic managerial responsibilities, overseeing team performance and work schedules.
Update Bills of Material and participate in design reviews.
Adhere to systems and ISO processes in daily tasks.

Education & Training:
Matric with technical drawing and mathematics (Higher Grade).CAD courses completion considered an advantage.

Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum 3 years of technical draughting experience using CAD software.
Experience in PTC Creo considered advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a small team in heavy or mechanical engineering projects.

Skills & Abilities:
Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Strong proficiency in technical draughting within a CAD environment.
Effective planning and delegation for successful project completion.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with occasional visits to mine sites and factories.
Regular Mon-Thurs hours, with occasional after-hours work.
Supervision received from Eng. Manager; Product Manager, and Designers.
