Description

Main Duties include:

Review revenues to ensure cash flow and profitability forecasts are in line with projected budget.
Monthly reporting.
Assist business units with monthly closing, annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Track new business and backlog forecast and report via a rolling forecast.
Tracking and reporting on Capital Expenditure commitments vs budgets and forecasts.
Maintain and monitor a risk schedule related to any provisions or other balance sheet items.
Assist with General Ledger cost codes and opening of new job numbers in the system;
Analyze financial information needs and optimisation of the structure
Conduct special investigations and feasibility studies.
Identify opportunities and risks; manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
Proactive approach and accountable of the Business unit financial controlling & reporting
Assist the operational team with the monthly payment certificates/ invoicing timeously

Monitor the calculating of the contract price escalation/adjustment and FOREX if any Providing financial support to the relevant Business units, which includes project costing review, cash flow and monthly reporting.

Presentation of monthly financial results

  • Salary: R42 000 R45 00_0 p/m_

Criteria:

Degree or Diploma/ B. Tech Cost Accounting or Management Accounting
2+ years relevant experience preferably within a project accounting environment
Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cash flow and cost control principles
including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Extensive knowledge of JD Edwards automated financial and accounting reporting system.
Ability to train users (project managers and cost controllers).
Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, monthly
closing and project profitability analysis.
Operation & Services contract management knowledge is preferred
Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
Computer literate (Advanced level MS Office (Excel); Google Suite and JD Edwards)
Financial Organisation skills; Business/profit orientated
Excellent attention to detail
