    DUR002105 – NATIONAL CROP NUTRITION SALES MANAGER (CAPE TOWN)

    Purpose of the Job:
    This global plant nutrition and bio-stimulants company requires a National Sales Manager to develop and grow the company's market share, brand awareness and business relationships within the commercial agricultural sector.

    Required Qualifications & Experience
    1. B Sc Agric – Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Pathology, Soil Science or similar.
    2. At least 3 years of plant nutrition sales experience in a reputable commercial company.
    3. Must be familiar with Western Cape crops & the commercial farming community.
    4. A high degree of computer literacy.
    5. Fluency in Afrikaans essential.
    Technical Competencies & Experience:
    1. Sales - develop and implement strategy.
    2. Business relationships - develop & build relationships with distributors and farmers.
    3. Finances – budgeting, monitoring, & controlling sales performance & variances.
    4. Supply chain – manage & control stock, transport, logistics & distribution.
    5. Technical research & innovation – stay abreast of recent & relevant technology.
    6. Competitor research – stay abreast of competitor pricing & activities.
    7. Commercial analysis – data & market share analysis & trends.
    8. New business – identifying opportunities & aggressively growing market share.

    2. Strong people skills – can relate well to farmers, distributors & global team.
    3. Persuasive & influential.
    4. Energetic & ambitious.
    5. Competitive – enjoys a challenge.

    Remuneration:
    Highly competitive, but dependent upon skills and experience.
