    Description

    Our client, a prominent player in the truck solutions industry, based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement Coordinator to join their team. As a Procurement Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing the procurement of materials, with a specific focus on vehicle and truck parts, to support the company's operations.

    Company Location: Our client is located in the Roodepoort area, Johannesburg.

    Position Overview:

    As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for the efficient sourcing of materials, particularly vehicle and truck parts, and ensuring the smooth flow of the procurement process. Your role will encompass administrative tasks, supplier interactions, and negotiations to secure the best terms and pricing for goods, making experience in vehicle/truck parts advantageous.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process, including the identification of materials and truck parts needed for operations.
    • Supplier Interaction: Collaborate with suppliers, obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and establish strong relationships to meet the company's procurement needs.
    • Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative duties such as processing purchase orders, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
    • Cost Optimization: Engage in cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives, seeking cost-effective solutions in the sourcing of materials.
    • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels to ensure the availability of vehicle and truck parts while minimizing excess stock.
    • Reporting: Prepare reports and data analysis related to procurement activities.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Education: A relevant certificate or diploma in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
    • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a procurement role, with knowledge of vehicle or truck parts advantageous.
    • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
    • Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
    • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
