    Main Purpose of Job

    To lead the multi-functional and dimensional Engineering Team within the Enstra facility, while ensuring at all times assets are managed, maintained and operated at world class standards in the areas of safety, reliability, quality and cost. To be an active and integral member of the Facility Management Team (FMT). Providing input on strategic and tactical plans for the Plant.

    Dimensions / KPI's

  • Safety: Drive a world class safety culture within the engineering functions, while driving a ZERO reportable injury frequency rate within the facility. Drive compliance to OSHAct and KC safety standards
  • Quality: ensuring quality targets are met as per objectives of the facility, by ensuring assets are maintained to the correct standard.
  • Corporate ethics: Continually comply with all KCC, Regulatory & Control requirements, while at all-times driving accountability and compliance within the Engineering team.
  • Cost: Drive cost transformation programs within the engineering disciplines, while at all times driving teams to achieve facility objective of Total cost of manufacturing and conversion cost
  • Reliability: Drive the 4-pillars of reliability and high standards of preventative maintenance in the mill

    • Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bsc Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • GCC for Factories Advantageous
  • Professional engineer registration preferable but not compulsory.
  • Excellent business acumen, Continuous Improvement Mindset, Change management skills and Excellent Leadership skills
  • Minimum of 10 years previous Engineering/Project and Maintenance experience with 3years in leadership.
  • Experience in the Pulp & Paper Industry, Automotive Industry or FMCG environment will be desirable.
