Senior Maintenance Planner


Responsible for the planning of asset maintenance and the effective coordination and administration of the planned maintenance in the specific area(s) of responsibility to which you are assigned.

You will interface between operations, the relevant engineering departments, and the planned maintenance system to ensure efficient and effective planned maintenance is achieved on the assets assigned to you.


  • Authorisation of work orders as per TALCM feedback
  • Collection and distribution of work orders as per department.
  • Track and give feedback on outstanding requests and progress of jobs.
  • Administration of the plant modification system ( MOC)
  • Create, Monitor and update Equipment lists in SAP Masterdata
  • Create, Monitor and update assets Maintenance strategies and schedules in SAP
  • Create, Monitor and update equipment's critical spares lists in SAP
  • Work to agreed budgets and cost control.
  • Planned maintenance adherence shut updates, backlog follow up.
  • Assist Team leader with creation and closing of Notifications.
  • Track plant downtime and create weekly report
  • Create, Monitor and update shutdown plans
  • Issue Monthly and weekly look ahead schedules as per SAP Call Horizons.

Qualifications:


  • Trade test certificate
  • Excellent Computer literacy skills, preferably CMMS systems, SAP
  • MP, Microsoft Project, Excel
  • Knowledge of Plant maintenance ( Schedules, shutdowns )
  • 5 years maintenance experience in FMCG and/or Pulp and Paper Industry
  • Good initiative, good attitude and potential to learn is vital.
  • Manage and Maintain an Engineering Library where all critical and essential documentation, and statutory/legal records will be filed
