Together with 20 years of experience in Hairdressing and Salon Management, and 18 years of self-employment therein, along with 6 years as a Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, diet and nutrition specialist, and life-coaching, combined with 4 years in the Creative Arts namely, Photography, Graphic Design, statue restorations, carpentry and kitchen renovations and then my endless amount of experience of 19 years in the corporate world, I do bring a wide array, rich and broadly diverse tapestry of qualifications, work experience and interpersonal skills to the role I'm placed in.
My ultimate desire and “method to my madness” is to be an integral part of the community. With the current trends and ever growing technological development within the working environment, my desire is learn what ever may come my way and to contribute positively to society by use of my strategically designed Scope of Practises working in synergy.
I am extremely self driven by a deep passion to utilize my skill in a meaningful and inspirational manner and hope to motivate my peers to love what they do.
I strive to find purpose in every task I undertake and am dedicated to delivering exceptional results that make a massive difference, I would love for this to work well in collaboration and also to learn new and exciting skills I have not yet been introduced yet. I have the eagerness to learn anything I could possibly find provided I have the most patient teacher and mentor assigned to me.
Working as a legal secretary, conveyancing secretary, legal administrator, or legal assistant overall aligns perfectly with my goals and aspirations, and I am committed to excelling in this role to complete my BCOM Law degree. There is nothing like a challenge that gets me fired up and moving forward as problem solving, and legal research to build an effective case is where I shine my best shades and beautiful spectrum of colours.
While the job search process can be arduous and exhaustive for some, for me, it's doable. After being self-employed for a while, I have chosen to embrace it wholeheartedly. There is no longer room for growth within my own organisation, and I've grown tired of being my own employer. It is my intention to secure full-time employment before my 38th birthday, and in doing so, I will be able to leverage my skills, knowledge, and experience to their fullest potential.
As I continue on this journey, the role of an active job seeker remains at the forefront of my priorities. The Receptionist & Front Office role at entailed welcoming visitors, answering phone calls, sorting mail, performing administrative tasks, coordinating front desk activities, and providing administrative support. The responsibilities included ensuring the front desk operation ran smoothly, handling emergencies efficiently, maintaining a welcoming environment for guests, organizing office supplies, managing calendars, arranging travel, maintaining expense records, and performing various clerical duties like filing and faxing.
In the subsequent role as an Administrative & Debtors Clerk, the duties revolved around invoicing, addressing billing queries, tracking payments, analyzing accounts receivable aging reports, managing collections by contacting customers for overdue payments, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and dealing with bad debt situations. The position required meticulous attention to detail, effective communication with customers, and adherence to company policies and financial procedures.
