    Description

    Minimum requirements for the role:
    • Must be CA / ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
    • Experience in a similar role within a practice environment will be required
    • An understanding of UK Financial Reporting Standards will be advantageous
    • Good working knowledge of Excel is essential
    • Must have up to date knowledge of changes to basic tax legislation as required
    • Knowledge of IRIS and MyWorkpapers will be ideal
    • Must have experience in working within a team, but also be able to work independently as this is a hybrid role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:
    • Undertaking day-to-day communications with clients to obtain the necessary information and resolve queries on a timely basis.
    • Preparing period end financial statements for medium sized companies, consolidated financial statements and LLPs using the firms preferred software applications with minimal review points arising.
    • Preparing business tax computations including adjustments for enhanced expenditure, loans to participators.
    • Assisting junior team members with the completion of period end assignments that form part of the consolidated financial statements.
    • Working to a timetable agreed by the audit team.
    • Ensuring regular communication of progress to the audit team to ensure both internal and external deliverables are met.
    • Ensuring confidentiality of sensitive data.
    • Developing knowledge through selection of relevant CPD.
    • Acting in accordance with the business values and competency framework.
    • Applying regulatory, legal, professional and ethical standards relating to engagements.
