Description

Duties:

  • Receive walk-in clients and handle telephonic reports and inquiries.
  • Record all reports onto the electronic database.
  • Coordinate check-ins, receive equipment, and handle inquiries by contract security personnel.
  • Handle deliveries and lost and found items, including tracking down owners of lost items.
  • Act as the main contact point for Stellenbosch University.
  • Support University community with necessary assistance and emergency services.
  • Manage twoway radio battery charging.
  • Record In and Out bookings and maintain logistical resources.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems used by the University.

Job Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid registration with PSIRA.
  • Proven security and control room experience at a tertiary institution.
  • Security training from Grade C to E.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • No criminal record.
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Availability for shift work and extra services as needed.
  • Own transport to and from work.

Recommendation:

  • Valid Code EB driver's license.
  • Client service training.
  • Proficiency in compiling reports and documents using MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with CiiMs Online Intelligence system.
  • Experience with Milestone CCTV camera system.
  • Experience with Comet, Maestro, and Patriot alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with the University's information systems.
