Summary:

Do you enjoy the publishing industry and consider yourself IT Savvy? Our client, who is one of the front runners in the publishing industry is looking for an immediately available Permissions Officer to join their team.

This requires the skills of website research, correspondence with rights holders, negotiation and administrative processes.

Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:
A relevant undergraduate degree (Publishing/Law)

Experience in and up-to-date knowledge of intellectual property, copyright and permissions

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer

Excellent research, time-management and analytical skills

Willingness to work independently daily as well as be part of a busy and dynamic team

DUTIES:
Scheduling, deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously

Researching, requesting, tracking and finalising permissions for projects

Managing multiple projects simultaneously

Tracking and reporting on the status of all permissions within all active projects

Liaising with copyright holders to ensure timely delivery of permissions to ensure that all publications meet scheduled delivery dates

SALARY:
Dependent on experience
