JOB IDENTIFICATION


My client, a leading manufacturer of catering and baking equipment, is looking for a Storeman/Stock Controller to join their team in Bellville South, Cape Town.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Packing of stock in the correct and safe manner
  • Responsible for receiving parts, goods, consumables and material
  • Packing and/or unpacking of goods received from suppliers
  • Checking goods according to delivery notes
  • Preparing and Delivering consumables as per requisitions from the store to the relevant departments.
  • Collect requisitions from Factory Floor and issue parts according to set intervals
  • Perpetual stock takes
  • Housekeeping in stores
  • Ensuring that stock being dispatched to customers is correct according to delivery notes
  • Loading and offloading stock
  • Assisting customers with loading orders
  • Ensuring that the warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Assure that staff sign for parts on BOM, goods, consumables and safety equipment)
  • Capture all WIP issued to factory floor
  • Pastel / office.
  • Make sure that no staff enters the stores without permission.
  • Loading and/or unloading of vehicles and/or trucks oversee process
  • Packing and wrapping of parcels, affixing addresses and identifications to parcels and other articles.
  • Prepack parts and consumables in boxes per Job Number and according to BOM.
  • Control stock in local and import store.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency and time management
  • Selfdriven and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Supervisory skills
  • Flexibility to manage more than one task at any given time
  • Grade 12 essential
  • Stores or warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of storekeeping practices and procedures
  • Must be technical orientated and have previous experience in the steel manufacturing and factory environment

Salary
Negotiable depending on experience
