- Capturing customer and supplier invoices
- Reviewing sales invoices and supporting documentation
- Assisting debtors and creditors clerks with query resolution
- Compiling monthly consolidated sales report
- Compiling monthly debtors and creditors age analysis
- Capturing bank statements and reviewing monthly cashbook reconciliations
- Processing weekly and monthly payment requests
- Compiling and processing all intergroup invoices and journals
- Assisting with the compilation and processing of monthly accruals and general journals
- Reconciling monthly fixed asset transactions and compiling fixed asset register
- Assisting with capital project reconciliation
- Completing monthly VAT returns
- Collating monthly control account documentation
- Assisting with external and internal audit requests
- Assisting Accountant and GCFM with group reporting
- Proven experience with customer and supplier invoice processing
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures (IFRS)
- Knowledge of company tax and VAT regulations
- Proven experience working with Pastel, Syspro, Navision, or Business Central accounting packages will be advantageous
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Attention to detail and ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material
- Ability to take responsibility and drive deliverables
- Work experience in manufacturing will be advantageous
- Tertiary qualification in accounting
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position
- Must be a team player, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid drivers license and willing to travel
