A 5* Boutique Hotel seeks an Executive Housekeeper to lead the team & manage the housekeeping staff and ensuring five-star quality and service.


  • Leading the team by example,
  • Maintaining good relationships with the team,
  • Allocation of tasks to the housekeeping team,
  • Time management of room attendants and housemen,
  • Scheduling in terms of rooms and readiness,
  • Training of reporting lines in terms of rules and regulations, and
  • Focus on guest delight,
  • Maintaining an impeccably professional appearance,
  • Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of the entire Hotel.
  • Ensure that rooms are made as per company standard.
  • Prepare Annual Housekeeping Budget.
  • Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and uniform.
  • Organize inventories with Accounts and General Store for linen, uniform, fixed assets and consumerables
  • Pay particular attention while organizing pest eradication activities.
  • Develop and implement Housekeeping systems and procedures
  • Prepare reports for management information.
  • Assist Purchase department in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping.
  • Linen & amenities control, including counts, quality and wear and tear
  • Plan, control and supervise Horticultural activities.
  • Attending and resolving guest complaints.
  • Verification of supplies consignments.
  • Organize onthe job training and evaluate its effectiveness.
  • Approval of the Functional Manual of the department.
  • Recommend recruitment of new personnel.
  • Handle guest inquiries in a professional and effective manner:
  • Ensure knowledge of hotel room categories and layout of the property
  • Ensure knowledge of different offerinings at the property
  • Resolution of customer complaints;
  • Sense of ownership;
  • Operate the hotel's

Property Management System:

  • Daily inspection of public areas and employees locker rooms.
  • Daily briefing of Supervisors/ Executives.
  • Coordinating the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public area with maintenance department.
  • Immediately attending to guest requests.
  • Liaise effectively between departments.
  • Matric
  • Computer literacy
  • Three Years Degree or diploma in hotel management or Similar (Benficial)
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience of which at least 2 to 3 years in similar role, in a fivestar property advantage.
  • Strong Operational/Technical Knowledge.
