- Generate revenue from an assigned geographical location by executing strategies to achieve sales targets
- Develops close relationships with their customers to grow business and they find new customers and plays an active part in constantly expanding the business
- Maintaining and increasing sales of the company products
- Establishing, maintaining, and expanding the customer base by acquiring new customers
- Achieve Sales Targets for allocated region retail outlets
- Achieve company call frequency on allocated customer list - Both F2F & Digital
- Detailing Optometrists, dispensers, and front-line staff on lens products
- Ensure tools like price lists, catalogues and details aids are presented to appropriate contact at store level
- Sales process in clinical and business sales calls implemented
- Sales promotions implemented into a segmented store base
- Key account management
- On-Line ordering support
- Problem solving on ordering, non-adapts and process flow
- Service support i.e. Software & tracer installation
- New media support i.e. Dispensing tools like Visureal Portable / Master
- Credit and accounts support
- Daily liaising with Customer service support team
- Develop Sales forecasts
- Daily Sales call reporting and two weekly plans
- Pre-call planning per segment strategy
- Weekly feedback to Sales Manager
- Monthly report submitted on territory performance and key actions
- Optical and product training in all stores
- Store Profit and business training where required
- Group presentations at events and in-store workshops with staff
- Train staff of on-line internal system and tracing device
- Train staff on dispensing tools and other equipment
- Placement of point-of-sale material
- Ensuring product launches are rolled out effectively & timeously
- Planning and attending optometry events /conferences
- Abreast of CPD programs
- Running CPD meetings online in territory
- Up to date with professional coding systems
- Progressive design non-adapt management
- Grade 12
- Qualified Optometrist
- Minimum of 3 years experience in retail optics / wholesale sales beneficial
- Training in general optics
- Value chain management
- Lens non-adapt recommendations
- Strong Selling Skills, Proven sales record
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Sales experience is essential
- Good technical background in product area is desirable
- Good Sales and Presentation skills
- IT software Excel / Power point / Word / Data analysis
- Optical problem solving prescription to dispensing
