    ABOUT JOHANNESBURG:

    Our Johannesburg office based in Melrose Arch serves as the company`s Functional Hub for the Southern African Operations which include Global Services, Technology and Enterprise Resource Planning Support Teams.

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    As a Coordinator Finance Services, you will be responsible for providing support, coordination and administration for the activities of the Finance function within GBS and to process Fixed Assets and Projects Accounting; Sundry Accounts Receivable and Intercompany Accounting; Payroll Accounting and Master Data; including relevant period end tasks as defined within the Global Business Services' Partnership Agreement with its Customers.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:


    •Monitor and process fixed assets and capital project requests i.e. project creation, budget load, project capitalisation, assets disposal, etc;
    •Review and maintain the fixed asset registers for a number of entities;
    •Ensure all queries and cases are managed on time, accurately and within defined Service Level Definitions;
    •Adherence to regulatory and legislative reporting requirements (International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in particular);
    •Ensure alignment with and compliance to internal controls including South32 Code of Business Conduct, Group Level Frameworks, Standards, Policies, agreements, systems, and procedures;
    •Develop supportive relationships with team members and demonstrate and promote operational discipline when executing day-to-day activities;
    •Contribute to maintain a culture of innovation, learning and development and continuous improvement.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:


    •Minimum 3 years relevant Finance experience;
    •Experience in SAP FI Module;
    •Experience within the Finance function of a large Global Organization.

    Qualifications for this role are:


    •National Advanced Certificate (2 years) or Equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
