I specialise in content creation. You will see from my resume that I have advanced into an all-round content creator with Corr-Serve, a distributor of cyber-security solutions to resellers and security service providers in South Africa and the rest of the SADC region. I have recently published the first LinkedIn newsletter article on How Organisations Can Proactively Secure Themselves Against Rising Data Breaches in South Africa, 209 subscribed in less than a month! I create mailers on product portfolio for segment groups such as business clients and the end-user market. I generate leads from online PPC ads, virtual press and mailers.  I also grew the company LinkedIn page from 120 to 775 followers.

Experience

I have over 15 years of experience in various industries such as FMCG, Manufacturing, Apparel, Corporate Gifting and Branding, Consulting and Information Technology. Over the past 8 years, I have been delivering successful campaigns in consulting and IT, supporting the sales team with quality leads. In my marketing career, I have advanced into an all-round content creator, ranging from emailers, PR content, Newsletters, Social media and PPC Ads. I'm also an amazing planner, I have experience in managing virtual and face to face events from start to finish. I follow up on timelines with assigned persons and ensures that deadlines are met. I'm an SEO specialist, I can search and implement high ranking keywords to improve ranking in search engine results page. 

My achievements include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Introduced the LinkedIn newsletter concept and successfully wrote the first SEO article on data breaches and mitigation, 209 subscribed in less than a month! 
  • Successfully ran a cybersecurity council coupon competition and landed two meetings with decision makers from multinational corporations (FNB and ABSA).
  • In 2018, I devised and executed marketing campaigns through LinkedIn, Facebook, E-mail marketing and personal invites through post for our yearly Learning Innovation Africa Conference, as a result of my multiple campaigns, the number of delegates increased from 80 delegates in 2017 to 170 delegates in 2018, new clients included Sasol, FNB, Smollan, Old Mutual and MMI Holdings, which arrived in groups per division.

Marketing Manager – Johannesburg - (February 2019 – Present)

Corr-Serve is an IT company that specialises in cybersecurity solutions. As a marketing specialist, I lead the marketing activities for Corr-Serve.

Specific duties include:

  • Assisted in the development and implementation of annual marketing plans to help achieve business objectives. Collaborated with head of marketing to execute quarterly tactics and activities.
  • Led the implementation of all aspects of inbound and outbound marketing ranging from content marketing, webinars, social media, emailers, events, PR, and editorials. 
  • Created targeted campaigns for segment groups such as partners/resellers  and the end-user market, messaging addressed persona concerns and how our solution solves their business problem.
  • Reporting on effectiveness of campaigns using analytics on the service platform.
  • Website management – updating latest developments, adding new products/updating product information, uploading images and videos, and ensured that website is user-friendly especially on mobile devices.
  • Led the development and implementation of LinkedIn PPC ads with a contact form to capture leads.
  • Managed logistics for events according to a project schedule, follow-up on timelines with assigned persons and ensuring deadlines are met as per project plan schedule.
