Health & Safety Officer, Grade 4Qualifications, skills and experience:
This position requires an advance diploma or a degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management, Environmental Health, or equivalent qualification at NQF 7.
A postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Management, Environmental Health will be an added advantage.This position also requires a minimum of 4 years of work relevant experience in the relevant field.
SAMTRAC Training, NOSA System Implementation Training are essential.

extensive experience in the implementation of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, processes, and regulatory framework relevant to Safety Management and Environmental Health
Health, Safety and Service focus are essential; advance knowledge for planning and organising, and statistical reports writing skills; in-depth organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills; excellent computer literacy and experience in the application of software tools including (Ms Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet and Outlook).
The possession of a valid drivers licence with at least one-year practical driving experience and a willingness to travel is essential.
DUTIES:
Provide support to ensure National Occupational Safety Association (NOSA) five-star grading for SANBI;
Coordinate training to incidents investigators and SHE representatives.
Coordinate and maintain health and safety management services.
Provide support to ensure proper hygiene system, framework, and survey for SANBI; and
Provide support on incidents management, reporting and investigation.
