     Head of Faculty: School of Humanities and Social Sciences

    The IIE Varsity College, Durban North Campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer: Humanities and Social Sciences on a part-time basis for the following modules:

    • Crime in Context (CICO5122)
    • Introduction to South African Criminal Justice System (ICJS5122)

    Competencies Required:

    • Excellent communications skills
    • Excellent organisational skills
    • Excellent time management (meeting dates and deadlines timeously)

    Minimum Qualification Requirements:

    • A Bachelor of Arts Honours or Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Criminology and/ or Criminal Justice
    • Post-graduate Diploma, Masters (MA/ MPhil) or Doctorate (PhD/ DPhil) in Criminology and/ or Criminal Justice is advantageous

    Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

    • Lecturing experience preferably two years lecturing experience in the discipline of Criminology.
    • Work experience ideally in one or other field related to forensic criminology, research, criminologist, forensic analyst, victim empowerment, correctional services.
