    Description

    The Social Science Research Coordinator (Data) will contribute expertise in research administration and coordination of various studies and will also be responsible for the development and coordination of a Social Science data repository. To achieve this the candidate will plan and implement the cataloguing, classifying and indexing of Social Science qualitative and quantitative data and resources; developing, managing and digitising data collections and conducting training programmes to assist the Social Science research assistants and data users in order to facilitate the maintenance of a comprehensive data repository. The position is based at both AHRI campuses in Somkhele and Durban.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social sciences or related field

    • Minimum Experience

  • At least 5 years qualitative and quantitative research experience
  • At least 2 years qualitative data repository management

    • Skills Required

  • Qualitative research skills including coding and analysis and use of electronic data management tools.
  • Quantitative research knowledge and skills.
