    Description
    Our client is seeking an assistant catering manager for their team in a canteen setting.

    Role Description:
    • Plan menus and set prices in cooperation with the Catering Manager, to achieve and maintain the, budgeted food cost.
    • Purchase or requisition supplies and ensure that these are properly issued, used, and accounted for.
    • Carries out weekly stock-take and food rotation procedures.
    • Allocates duties to kitchen staff, supervises them in cooking dishes, gives technical advice and guidance when necessary, and personally prepares dishes.
    • Inspects dishes for quality and attractiveness before serving.
    • Deals with complaints about food in accordance with Company procedure.
    • Ensure compliance with Statutory Company regulations concerning the hygiene and safety of staff, food, and equipment.
    • Maintains records relating to food production activities and supplies information as required by the catering manager.

    Requirements:
    Matric
    Fluent in English
    Previous catering experience is essential (5 years)

    Salary:
    10, ,000 (depending on experience & qualifications)
    Provident fund
    Contribution to medical aid
    15 days leave
    Working days: Monday - Friday
