    An HR Guru to assist in the hiring and development for Superheroes who are set to change the world... Are you that person?

    Overview

    Our client are a group of millennials with a passion for SMEs. They love to help empower entrepreneurs with the tools and knowledge to create a better future for all across Africa.

    They currently a team of over 20 Cloud Accountants who provide outsourced financial management services to SMEs using cloud technology. Big fans of Xero, the cloud accounting platform, and have an app stack of close to 30 unique apps. Yes, they do all the boring stuff like bookkeeping, tax returns and financial statements, but they also do much more.

    If you're interested in helping them to build an accounting business with a goal to grow to over 150 team members that impact over 1000 entrepreneurs, with over 10,000 people employed in the next 10 years, you've come to the right place.

    What is the role?

    1. Engagement & Communication: investing in the current team, ensuring team members feel heard, valued and appreciated; developing a feedback loop with management; bringing cohesion across our team; opening company, team and individual communication channels.
    2. Creating (Infra)Structure: formalising positions; developing a clear company structure; creating accountability through targets and clear measurement; creating and building scalable processes and documenting them; improving efficiency
    3. Developing the middle layer of management: elevating team members who have proven themselves as key players and empowering them to support future growth.
    4. Growth Strategy: enabling company growth by establishing a road map for greater retention and strategic hires.

    Who are we looking for?

    • At least 5 years of experience in human resources, people relations and organisational development, with a demonstrable track record of designing and implementing human resources processes across a business (or exceptional achievements within fewer years of professional experience);
    • Thorough knowledge of South African labour legislation, compliance requirements, disciplinary procedures, and HR policies and procedures;
    • Strong leadership, communication and people management skills;
    • High EQ & Interpersonal Skills
    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Organisational Development or another relevant field, or equivalent education/experience.
