Are you an accomplished leader in People and culture management with a fervor for steering organizational triumph? Are you prepared to wield significant influence within a dynamic and burgeoning company? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as the Head of People & Culture at Feitoria.


Feitoria is a manufacturing facility for Nando's sauces and grocery products sold in supermarkets across SA and the southern hemisphere.

With around 150 employees based on site, the business is excited to be recruiting a Head of People and Culture for the first time to join its leadership team (Exco) and progress an ambitious and exciting people strategy.


In your capacity as the Head of People & Culture, you will assume a pivotal role within our executive team, collaborating closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to craft and execute a comprehensive People & Culture strategy.

Your profound knowledge and proficiency in HR management, talent development, and fostering a vibrant organizational culture will be paramount in steering our human resources endeavors and instigating data-driven decisions throughout Feitoria.


The Head of People & Culture Feitoria is accountable for developing and executing the People strategy for the Feitoria business in partnership with the CEO and Exco. Ensuring that the business builds the right culture, leadership capability, and ways of working and is legally compliant.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources (Advantageous)
  • Drivers Licence
  • 510 Years in a Leadership role
  • Excellent relationship builder and coach to leaders and managers
  • Demonstrable experience of playing a key role in delivering successful business growth and business change, whilst building and nurturing sustainable culture.
  • Prior experience as a Head of People or alternatively, a Senior HRBP looking to step up, with experience in growing an FMCG business or high culture business an advantage.
  • Lives personal values and drives organizationwide engagement through culture and values
  • Low ego, high EQ
  • Has experience in building and leading highperforming teams (which could include working with external facilitators) knows how to get the best out of people
  • Role models authenticity the successful individual will bring their whole self to work, and encourage those around them to do the same.
  • Highly motivated, agile selfstarter able to work with a startup mindset to grow a People function and peoplefirst mindset within a smallscale structure, which will mean alternating between seeing the big picture strategy to being handson and getting into the detail.
  • A strong generalist is able to lead strategy across a number of areas and make decisions around prioritization. The incredibly varied role is made harder by the lack of people strategy to date.
  • Able to work resourcefully and appropriately for the size of the business, with a willingness to support the execution of the strategy
  • Motivated by working in a socially responsible business, with the opportunity to change lives and make decisions with both profit and purpose in mind.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Workforce planning and effectiveness - working in partnership with the Exco to ensure that the business has the right people, culture, leadership capability, and ways of working to deliver the 3-5 year strategic plan. Work within the freedom of Nando's global frameworks, brand values, and standards. Be part of building a recognizable and strong global internal Nando's brand and culture.

Leadership development. Support the development of a high-performing senior leadership team, united behind the mission of the business, supporting leaders to lead in the Nando's way and to develop talent to build capability.
- **Operational and Cultural focus
- **Love FMCG and work closely with the leadership team and operational leads to support operational needs, with a focus on developing a high-performance culture, whilst also cultivating a People First culture that Nando's is known for.

  • Working in a resourceful way to build and develop appropriate People resources to support the business as part of a newly established People function. As part of the wider Nando's People and Culture community in South Africa and across the Nando's Group, you will have the opportunity to connect with centers of excellence available within the wider Nando's business, as well as using external partners where necessary.
  • Support internal resources to be capable of supporting and growing alongside the strategic priorities of the business.

Develop a strong and effective partnership with the operations of the business:
