    Description


    We are seeking a Fund Accountant to form part of the fund accounting team , reporting to a Manager within the Private Equity Fund Accounting Division.

    The Fund Accountant will support a growing team that provid es a full suite of fund accounting and financial reporting services to our Private Equity clients. The role will include accounting and financial reporting, NAV reporting and fund administration duties for our portfolio of clients.

    Key responsibilities
    • Provide day-to-day fund accounting and financial reporting services to a portfolio of Private Equity clients and structures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures;
    • Ensuring that all day-to-day tasks are monitored and completed in a timely and satisfactory manner ;
    • Working closely with the client and other teams to ensure that accounting records are accurate and transactions are understood and correctly captured ;
    • Preparation of management accounts and financial statements in compliance with the relevant accounting standard ( eg IFRS and GAAP);
    • Assist with the p reparation of NAV calculations, capital call workings and distribution workings of the Funds ;
    • Where required, s upport the audit process to ensure the completion of milestones and deadlines; and
    • Perform other duties to support the Manager and team as may be necessary from time-to-time.


    Skills / experience
    • BCom Accounting Degree (or similar)
    • Started or interested in starting SAIPA articles (advantageous) ;
    • MS Excel competncy ;
    • Structur ed and detail orientated;
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
    • Ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines;
    • Excellent communication and organisation skills;
    • Motivated and driven.
