Exceptional opportunity to join an established Employee Benefits team who seek a Head of Fund Accounting to join their team.

Responsibilities:


  • Liaise with Executive Team on strategic vision fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships
  • Assist with development and negotiation of contracts
  • Improve automation process utilising technology
  • Ensure sufficient controls are in place and that relevant documents are approved and available for audit
  • Liaise with COO/Deputy COO ensure program success by cost analysis support and compliance with contract and program requirements
  • Maintain systems of control, safeguard financial assets of funds. Oversee program, coordinate activities of independent auditors
  • Resolve audit issues, ensure compliance is met
  • Supervise production of monthly reports for Executive Team and Board of Directors
  • Supervise and manage system controls and enhance streamlining of workflow
  • Drive company compliance and policies
  • Ensure regular reporting on compliance breaches and progress on mitigation and management plans
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Implement controls to mitigate fraudulent activities
  • Improve automation of monthly management reports and board packs
  • Attend board and committee meetings
  • Develop and implement staff growth plans
  • Prepare, review and present ad hoc reports and accurate reports for Trustee meetings
  • Review queries or inquiries by members within relevant tim

Requirements:


  • Minimum of CA(SA)/ CIMA qualified
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience within fund accounting and employee benefits
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency
  • Must have excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent team manager who develops their team
  • Strong business acumen, with exceptional analytical skills
  • High attention to detail
