    Description

    Job Title: New Business Sales Executive in Logistics

    Location: Blackheath, Cape Town

    Salary: Between 30, ,000 CTC (Cost to Company), depending on experience, plus commission.

    DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Strategize, Plan, and Execute:

    • Develop a lead list through cold calling and/or scheduled appointments.
    • Strategically plan and execute lead conversion to qualified prospects.

    2. Customer Engagement:

    • Identify customer needs and align them with the company''''''''s capabilities and value proposition.
    • Present compelling presentations on the the company''''''''s solution to potential customers.

    3. Sales Activity Management:

    Update all sales-related activities daily within the CRM System.

    • Monitor conversion ratios and identify areas for improvement within the sales cycle.
    • Manage and understand actual performance against set targets.

    4. Pipeline Management:

    • Ensure a sufficient number of qualified prospects in the pipeline to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
    • Maintain a balanced mix of opportunities low, medium, and high.

    5. Account Implementation:

    • Effectively implement new accounts by ensuring customers are well inducted into the company''''''''s service offering.
    • Communicate with internal departments on Customer Profiles.

    6. Forecasting and Analysis:

    • Accurately forecast potential opportunities.
    • Identify target industries/verticals aligned the company''''''''s service offerings.
    • Monitor customer bad debt, resolve payment issues, and consult on areas of improvement.

    7. Customer Service and Performance:

    • Monitor customer claims history and collaborate with internal departments for improvement.
    • Manage customer service KPIs to uphold standard agreements.
    • Identify problem areas and consult with internal operations teams for improvements.

    8. Issue Resolution and Communication:

    • Escalate sensitive customer issues to internal departments for resolution.
    • Record lost opportunities, detailing reasons for lack of success.
    • Communicate competitor initiatives to the management team.

    9. Financial Management:

    • Monitor forecasted spend versus actual spend to ensure full revenue realization.
    • Negotiate rates increases and understand unprofitable accounts, implementing action plans for rectification.
