Qualified Accountant required for a reputable Accounting company based in East London, Eastern Cape

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with proficiency in various software applications such as Pastel, Payroll, Caseware, and E-filing. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and work independently is crucial for this role. The candidate should also possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Process monthly and annual clients' financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
Compile management reports to provide insights and analysis to clients.
Handle various clients' payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
Submit PAYE and VAT submissions on E-filing, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Prepare financial statements and income tax submissions for clients.
Calculate personal and companies' income tax, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Perform administrative tasks related to respective clients, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license and own transport are essential for this role.
Proficiency in software applications such as Pastel, Payroll, Caseware, and E-filing is non-negotiable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently.
Proof of qualifications in accounting/bookkeeping (diploma, degree, articles, etc.) would be advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing.
