    Description

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 8+ years experience in Management
    • 12 + years in Facilities
    • Must have managed 15 + sites/ centres all over South Africa
    • Strong administration skills
    • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and safety regulations.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
    • Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a national facilities management strategy aligned with organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with executive management to understand business needs and align facilities strategies accordingly.
    • Prepare and manage the facilities budget on a national level.
    • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure budget compliance.
    • Coordinate maintenance activities for all facilities, ensuring timely and cost-effective repairs.
    • Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
    • Source and manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
    • Negotiate contracts, review performance, and ensure service level agreements are met.
    • Ensure all facilities comply with local, provincial, and national regulations.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures.
    • Optimize the use of office space and facilities to support organizational objectives.
    • Plan for future space needs and expansion.
    • Oversee security measures and access control systems.
    • Collaborate with security teams to mitigate risks and respond to incidents.
    • Implement and promote sustainable practices in facility management.
    • Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, budgets, and compliance documentation.
    • Prepare regular reports for senior management on facility performance and key metrics.
