    Infrastructure Architect

    Join our team as an Infrastructure Architect and play a key role in shaping the future of our enterprise infrastructure architecture. As a leader in this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure our infrastructure meets existing and future requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and Implement Strategic Plans Design, manage, and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure the infrastructure architecture meets existing and future requirements.
    • Establish Best Practices and Standards Develop, document, and manage the implementation of best practices, infrastructure standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the infrastructure architecture.
    • Architecture Development and Roadmapping Develop the as-is and to-be architectures with associated roadmaps to create an infrastructure architecture.
    • Architecture Champion Champion, drive, and implement architecture agendas, priorities, and initiatives to support the Group's IT strategy.
    • Specialised Infrastructure Services Manage the provision of specialised infrastructure services in support of projects and programmes within the Group.
    • Architectural Solutions and Procurement Research and recommend architectural solutions as well as support the procurement thereof.
    • Talent and Succession Management Be responsible for talent and succession management, development, and performance management of the team.
    • Stakeholder Relationships Build and manage key stakeholder relationships to ensure the delivery of quality service and participate in other departmental/divisional projects to contribute towards business objectives.
    • Risk Management Identify, mitigate, and manage risks related to the infrastructure environment.
    • Third-Party Collaboration Collaborate and align with third-party infrastructure service providers in support of the Group's IT strategy.
    • Resource Planning and Cost Control Provide input into resource planning, cost estimation, budget development, and cost control.

    Requirements

    • Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (NQF 7) or an equivalent qualification.
    • Certifications Certification in TOGAF, ITIL, and COBIT.
    • Experience 8 to 10 years' experience in an IT environment.

    Additional Requirements

    • Skills and Experience Engineering, managerial, technical, and project management skills, with experience in leading complex infrastructure programmes.
    • Financial Analysis Financial analysis, including data-driven conclusive recommendations and decisions.
    • Infrastructure Knowledge Experience and skills in modern infrastructure architectures and engineering functions, with a strong fundamental understanding of infrastructure as a service, network as a service, disaster recovery as a service, and desktop as a service.
    • Hands-on Experience Hands-on practical experience in infrastructure engineering and architecture.
    • Documentation Knowledge and experience in documenting infrastructure architectures.
    • Action-Oriented Strong bias for action, with proven ability to handle stress and time-sensitive infrastructure tasks.
