Experience
I have 20 years of experience in bridging the gap between IT and Finance and a total of 26 years of working experience. I have 16 years of SAP BPC and BI experience from SAP BPC MS (Microsoft Platform) SAP BPC 7.5 MS and EPM 10 up to SAP BPC 11.1 on BW/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud. I have many years of Management, Project and Development experience. My people skills, financial expertise and the relevant qualifications are positive assets. One of the greatest challenges in the IT industry is bridging the gap between IT and Finance. This is an area that I am most competent in facilitating. I have a great understanding of the industry, I see myself as a dynamic and innovative thinker in an evolving industry which will make me a valued asset to any company.
My specialties are: Electronic banking products, Consolidation projects, MIS projects, SAP BPC and BI, Development and Technical skills, Management and Negotiation skills, Technical presales. I have been in Management roles most of my career as Team lead, Manager, Senior Manager, Product Manager, BDM (Business Development Manager and Director), Head of MIS, etc. In these Management roles I lead numerous staff in project related work. Industries: Government, Oil and Gas, Electricity, Public utilities, Automotive industry, Banking, Retail, Airlines, etc.
I have completed 4 full life cycles. Life cycles in SAP BPC (4 consolidations, 4 Planning & Budgeting Projects) and 12 support Projects and upgrade projects. Making deadlines are a priority for me, thus the forecasting and monthly management reports are submitted on time for review. I manage accounts by creating long-term and trusting relationships with my customers and identify new opportunities. Managing people is one of the most important responsibilities, I always work closely with my team and have an open door policy, I strongly believe in leading by example, training of staff is essential in growing the practice which includes mentoring and team building. While all staff are equally important, it is essential to try and hold key staff members. Performance appraisals are extremely important to identify new leaders and those who are struggling and falling behind. It is crucial that the onboarding of staff follows the onboarding process document bearing in mind the four C’s: Compliance, Clarification, Culture, Connection. The offboarding process document is again followed carefully in transferring employee’s job responsibilities, deactivating access rights and passwords, turning in equipment, and conducting exit interviews to gather feedback. This ensures that there are no loose ends when an employee leaves the company. When it comes to sales, marketing, networking and relationship building I’ve been bringing in numerous clients and maintaining clients for future business opportunities e.g. upgrades and new software. I make an effort to visit clients in person, make phone calls to check if clients are satisfied and always try to attract new business, forge partnerships, etc. I always ensure that I’m up-to-date with the business by meeting daily for task allocation, task updating and to iron out any issues at the root of problems that may arise and pose a risk. I follow new business leads before they are snatched up by a competitor. One of the most important tasks for me as an effective manager is to make sure my team has everything they need to perform their work as efficiently as possible.
