 Knowledge of the following well experienced Company Despatching of goods from the branchEnsures that the truck is adequately maintained daily. Uses the daily checklist to check the truck before leaving the premises (eg brakes, oil etc). Dangerous goods documentation must be on board before leaving the yard. The relevant signage must be on the vehicle.Assist with loading and offloading of stockLoads or offloads the truck, either by hand or by using lifting equipment (forklift). Makes sure the load weight is evenly distributed, complies with load limits, and is adequately secured. Any breakages, damage or leaks are reported to the outbound storeman before leaving the yard. Maintain route sheet documentationReads and understands route sheets. Signs the route sheet before leaving the yard as acceptance of the load. Maintains all route sheet information (such as odometer readings and signatures). Takes note of any special instructions and carry them out. Customer documentation"Delivers as per the invoice to the customer. Ensures that customers sign all documentation : - original tax invoice as proof of delivery (give original to customer and keep copy for the branch)- route sheet- SRN if applicable (copy to be given to the customer)"Reporting to the outbound storemanOn completion of delivery, returns all delivery documentation and cash (POD's, receipts etc) to the outbound storeman. Any problems with deliveries is discussed with the outbound storeman, and late deliveries are timeously reported. Hands SRN book to the outbound storeman once a week.
