Description
My Client who is an established manufacturing and engineering company is looking for a Stores Assistant / Receiving Clerk.

To be of assistance in the Stores and Warehouse, to manage the movement of goods and inventory within the company.


Work Experience:

-
2-3 years minimum working experience, preferably from a stores background:

  • Experience with valve manufacturing will be an added advantage
  • MUST be Experienced with nuts and bolts fittings and fasteners
  • Experience with any other Engineering industry will be an added advantage

Ability to operate a forklift will be an added advantage

Receiving and dispatching of goods:

  • Inspect quality and quantity of goods when receiving or dispatching
  • Assist with stock takes and weekly cycle counts
  • Labelling and marking of stock

Packing stock on shelves:

-
Pick materials for jobs and allocate in the WIP bins for production:


  • Building of crates, packaging, taking dimensions and weights for shipping packing lists:
  • Go out to do deliveries and collections as required
  • Assist in the workshop as required
  • Maintain the flow of invoices, delivery notes, collection notes, and other related documents
  • Sort, organise, and filing of documents
  • Any other adhoc tasks that may be required from time to time

Good knowledge of Raw materials, finish goods, packaging (building crates for goods to transported/shipped) and must be computer literate.

Skills Requirements:


  • Must be computer literate
  • Numeric and mathematical literacy
  • Strong understanding of units of measure
  • Strong planning skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Must have a valid driver's licence:


  • Ability to operate a forklift will be an added advantage:

Must be willing to work day/night shifts and overtime as required:


  • Own reliable transport will be an added advantage

PLEASE NOTE: The job requires a physically strong individual, who is able to lift heavy objects/items.


Qualifications:


  • Matric / Grade 1
  • Any other qualifications or skill straining will be an added advantage

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
R6 000,00 - R7 000,00 per month
