Are you a Wokshop Foreman with, able to
oversee the day-to-day operations of a shop or manufacturing facility? If the Fitter & Turner machine or hydraulic machine needs fixing, we need you to be hands on and fix it.

if you are a MacGyver-Jack of all trades and can weld pieces of metal onto a machine with quality and attention to detail, we need your skills


You would be responsible for Managing the shop floor, supervising employees, managing the trainees and welders ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Supervise and manage a team of technicians or mechanics, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.


WorkShop foreman required skills

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and expertise in automotive, machinery, or relevant mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical issues or problems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional problemsolving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to finding solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Sound decisionmaking skills, with the ability to make informed judgments and handle unexpected situations or challenges.
  • Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software or tools.

Required qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive or mechanical fields is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a technician or mechanic, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and repair procedures.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a shop or service center environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, compliance standards, and environmental guidelines is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of shop equipment and tools, including diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
  • Allocate work assignments to technicians and ensure that work is performed in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Monitor and review the progress of work orders, ensuring that deadlines are met and any issues or delays are promptly addressed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed repairs to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues or problems, providing technical expertise and guidance to technicians.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair projects, ensuring that resources, equipment, and materials are available and utilized efficiently.
  • Maintain and update service records, including work orders, repair logs, and customer information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe and clean working environment for both employees and customers.
  • Collaborate with other departments or teams, such as parts procurement or customer service, to facilitate smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills to improve shop operations.
