Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain material requirements plan (MRP) for production
- Maintain material requisitions and picking slips
- Maintain daily adhoc material and consumable issues and returns
- Maintain and manage cutting list requirements
- Process manufactured and finished goods into inventory items
- Maintain inventory tracking, lot traceability and serial numbering
- Allocate stock for job costing, job and project requirements, and bill of material requirements
- Maintain and manage minimum and maximum stocking levels
- Create and implement stock control systems, bin location and stock allocation systems
- Carry out regular stock takes, periodic counts, cycle counts and random spot stock checks
- Pack and issue finished good inventory items, general stock items, nonstock buy in/out orders, and other general items for dispatch and invoicing
- Prepare and arrange packaging, crating, labelling and indexing for local and export shipping
- Process good receipts (GRV) and supplier return notes (RTS) against purchase orders / supplier invoices for local goods
- Process merchandise and nonmerchandise goods receipts (GRV) to maintain landed cost tracking for imported goods
- Generate delivery notes, dispatch notes, packing lists and all other necessary documents required to keep record and control of inventory movement
- Maintain and keep track of deliveries and collections of 3rd party suppliers and service providers
- Maintain identification, tagging and traceability of repairs jobs
- Receiving and dispatching of physical goods at the receiving / dispatch counter
- General workshop floor assistance with stock movements and sorting
- Maintain strict stores and warehouse processes and procedures
- Maintain general housekeeping of store areas, pack and maintain shelves
- Carry out general admin and adhoc duties as required to ensure proper functionality of the stores and warehouse department
Work Experience:
- 3 years' minimum work experience in stores management and stock control, in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in an engineering or industrial environment is an added advantage
- Experience in operating a forklift is an added advantage
Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Economics or Business Management is an added advantage
Skills Required:
- English as a spoken and written language
- Experience with an Accounting system such as Sage, Pastel, Palladium etc.
- Computer literacy skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Numeracy and counting skills
- Understanding of Bill of Materials / Quantities
- Understanding of Units of Measure
- Understanding of Foreign Currencies
- Records management and filing skills
- Good communication and telephonic skills
